SMS Terms & Conditions

1. Program Description
CaraLink Inc. ("CaraLink," "we," "us," or "our") offers an SMS messaging program to deliver phone verification codes, playdate reminders, event notifications, and connection updates to registered users of the CaraLink platform.
By providing your phone number and requesting a verification code during account setup, you expressly consent to receive text messages from CaraLink at the phone number you provided.
2. How You Opt In
You opt in to receive SMS messages from CaraLink when you:
- Enter your phone number in the CaraLink app and tap "Send Verification Code"
- Enable SMS notifications in your CaraLink profile settings
By completing either action, you agree to these SMS Terms & Conditions. Consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
3. Message Types & Frequency
You may receive the following types of messages:
- Verification codes: One-time 6-digit codes to verify your phone number (sent only when you request them)
- Playdate reminders: Upcoming event notifications (if enabled in settings)
- Connection updates: New match requests or accepted connections (if enabled in settings)
- Account alerts: Security and account-related notifications
Message frequency varies based on your activity. Verification codes are sent only when you request them. Notification messages are limited to a maximum of 5 messages per week. You can adjust notification preferences at any time in your profile settings.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply to any messages you send or receive. CaraLink does not charge for SMS messages, but your wireless carrier may. Check with your carrier for details about your messaging plan.
5. How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving SMS messages from CaraLink at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any CaraLink text message
- Disabling SMS notifications in your CaraLink profile settings under "Notifications"
- Contacting us at support@caralink.com
After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. You will not receive any further messages unless you re-enroll. Opting out of SMS does not affect your CaraLink account or in-app notifications.
6. How to Get Help
For help with our SMS program, reply HELP to any CaraLink text message or email us at support@caralink.com.
7. Privacy
Your phone number and messaging data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used solely for delivering CaraLink service messages.
8. Supported Carriers
CaraLink SMS messages are supported on all major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint, as well as most regional and prepaid carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued receipt of SMS messages after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
By opting in to CaraLink SMS, you confirm that you are the account holder or authorized user for the phone number provided. You agree to receive automated text messages from CaraLink. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
